Stobbart settles down to a life of mundane 9-5 office work.

would enter his life; a woman whose sudden disappearance draws

and terrible power...
Broken
Sword: The Angel of Death is
the fourth game in the popular Broken Sword series.
Although, I have to admit that I've never really understood
the appeal of this franchise. I've played the previous three
games, but always managed to get myself into a situation where
I had no idea what I was supposed to do next and so just stopped
playing out of frustration.
It's
been almost three years since The
Sleeping Dragon was released and THQ has revamped
the game play considerably. However, I couldn't help but feel
that The Angel of Death was rushed onto the market
a little before it was really ready. Another six months to
iron out the bugs and flesh out the environments and this
could have been a lot of fun. As it stands, however, it's
a bit of a disappointment.
The
latest in the series has way too many puzzles that are just
way to complex - and the obvious solution is not the correct
one. And quite a lot of the environments seem larger then
they need to be, with very little in them with which you can
interact.
The
whole game felt incredibly dated, despite the revamp, and
you've got to ask yourself whether there is really still a
market for point and click games.
If
you are die-hard fan of the first three games then you'll
probably enjoy this. Otherwise I doubt very much you'll spend
more than a few hours on it. And when you consider that this
retails at £35 - an ridiculously expense price tag for
a PC game in today's market - I really can't see many people
buying it on impulse.
