Selina Kyle gave up being Catwoman for a year, giving birth
to a baby girl - and a new Catwoman took her place. But now
it's time for Selina to don the leather outfit once again,
as the psycho named Film Freak wreaks havoc in Gotham City,
declaring himself the star of his own twisted movie...
                  It's
Only a Movie takes place a year after the events of Infinite
Crisis. The father of Catwoman's baby is revealed
in this collection. See the fallout from Catwoman's murder
of Black Mask, including the horrible price she paid for vengeance
and why she chose to bring a baby into the world. Plus, Selina
pays a visit to Superman's hometown, Metropolis.

                  Selina
Kyle is doing her best to stay out of the cat-suit, as her
friend Holly patrols the East End of Gotham. But when Holly
is arrested for the murder of crime lord Black Mask - an act
committed by Selina - the time has come for a reckoning.
                  Will
Pfeifer pulls out all the stops to deliver some of his best
work. Out of this collection the Film Freak centred story,
which takes up nearly 50 percent of this graphic novel, is
the most satisfying. While I've read plenty of stories in
the past that feature Film Freak, this was the first time
I saw him as a villain that was worthy of Gotham's elite -
right up there with the Joker and the Penguin.
                  The
second half of this collection sees Selina heading off to
Metropolis. She's been given a simple task - to steal a snow
globe from Lex Luthor. She has no idea what she's getting
herself into, until it's too late. While a lot of this story
revolves around an ongoing battle between Lex and Selina,
at no point do you get tired of the drawn out fight sequences.
The conclusion is also rather ingenious - one I should have
seen coming a mile off, but thanks to Pfeifer being the master
of misdirection I was totally surprised by.
                  One
of the most satisfying Catwoman collections I've read
                    in quite some time.
