In an unpredictable mix of heroics and political manoeuvrings,
the rescue team finds a way out of the Capital alive. But
the true struggle has only just begun. As Kambei's fate is
reflected in the executioner's blade, the freedom of Sanae
and Mizuki hangs in the balance. Deep rifts sinuously divide
the samurai as Ukyo's plot rapidly unfolds. Using Kanna's
success to his advantage, he brilliantly machinates an insidious
war of constituents against allies in order to achieve his
two-faced goals. Ukyo has one essential caveat: burn Kanna
to the ground. At a time where every move is crucial, can
the samurai survive mutiny within their own ranks?...
The
penultimate volume of Samurai 7, contains only three
episodes. These include:
The
Rescue: Showing his skill, Kambei manages to overpower
his executioner in front of the masses, but before he can
take any further action Ukyo announces that he is pardoning
the samurai and freeing the kidnapped women. This naturally
occurs right as Katsushiro arrives to rescue Kambei. Just
what is Ukyo's plan?
The
Divide: The samurai are divided even more, as Katsushiro
takes his leave of the group. Things continue on a bad path,
when Ayamaro informs everyone of Ukyo's plan. With only five
of the original seven samurai remaining, what will their next
course of action be?
The
Lies: Kambei and the others leave Firefly House to begin
their war on the capitol. They have made many promises up
until now, and they each intend to fulfil them. Meanwhile,
Katsushiro has some problems when he discovers that Ukyo's
men are attempting to burn down Kanna.
The
only extras are the usual opening and closing songs and trailers
for other titles.
This
is quite an expensive release, when you consider that it only
contains three episodes, but fans of the series will be glad
to know that what it makes up for in length, it more than
makes up for in quality.
