Kambei and the rest of the samurai race towards the Capital,
poised for their final showdown with Ukyo. Driving his men
directly into the heart of the enemy, Kambei knows they must
strike decisively before more innocent lives are lost. With
a single blast, the Capital's devastating Main Cannon could
level the entire village. In addition to the massive ar-ship's
arsenal, Ukyo has created a fleet of Nobuseri drones - a mindless
army that follow his every command. Facing impossible odds
and unavoidable sacrifice, the samurai know this battle will
determine the fate of not only Kanma Village, but that of
an entire nation...
The
seventh, and final, volume of Samurai 7 contains the
last three episodes in the series:
The
Oaths: As Katsushiro and the villagers of Kanna prepare
for the upcoming battle, Kambei and the others hatch a plan
to reach the capital. The final battle is fast approaching.
The
Last Battle:
Kambei and the others arrive just in time. After a frontal
assault on the capital, the samurai manage to force their
way inside. But, once inside, will they be able to kill Ukyo?
Or, will they be stopped before they get anywhere near him?
Meanwhile, Katsushiro and Heihachi work on blowing up the
capital, but will they succeed in their mission? With the
end of the battle in sight, who will be triumphant, and who
will be defeated?
The
Era's End: The end of the battle is in sight, but there
have been heavy casualties on both sides. Not all seven samurai
have survived. With the fighting intensifying, will the remaining
samurai survive to see the battle's end? Will Ukyo finally
be killed? Will the capital be stopped, or will it crush Kanna
Village? The clock is ticking and everything is to play for
in the final episodes of Samurai 7.
Extras
are a little disappointing for the final volume. All we get
are textless opening and closing credits and some trailers.
This
is a climatic ending to the series, looking back it's been
a bit of a hectic ride to get here. But, on balance, it's
been well worth it.
