It's another academic year at the Toudou academy and Souchirou
Nagi and Bob Makihara, two juvenile delinquents who spend
their time taking over school, start their new campaign of
violence in order to be the top dogs. But things do not go
to plan when they come up against the members of the Juuken
                    martial arts club...

This is the sixth disc in the Madhouse anime Tenjho Tenge
series and once more, like the previous discs, this volume
contains only three episodes - which is rather strange for
a show that only ran to twenty-four episodes. Either the last
disc in the set contains only two episodes or they are going
to throw in the two OVA's which would make up for the last
couple of discs being a little on the short side for content.
The frenetic, funky and downright sexy style continues with
little noticeable drop in quality. If you're into teen posing
and fights then the show still delivers.

To recap: Aya has stolen her brother's Katana and has gone
off to try and get Maya reinstated in school. Meanwhile Bob
and Souichiro are recovering from their run in with the Executive
Council and, in the defence of their friend, also submit their
resignation from the school. Meanwhile the power of the Dragon's
Eye is growing with Aya, with the possibility of history,
                    tragically, repeating itself.

Fight twenty, Stratagem, and an episode that moves
away from the narrative rich shows to get back to breaking
bones and smashing faces. The schools are still at each other
throats, meaning that this episode has loads of fights and
very little in the way of story. As a stand alone episode
it will make absolutely no sense unless you have seen the
                    previous shows.

Fight twenty-one, Accidental Discharge (must be all
those partially clad girls), and an evil is coming. Shin is
being set up to become the great evil against which the ultimate
martial artist will define themselves. Shin turns up at the
school and the demonic Katana starts to glow with power.

Fight twenty-two, Determination, and it's the last
one on the disc. The best martial artists are ranged against
the Jukken Club, with only one thing on their minds, the ultimate
                    destruction of the club.

Extras on the disc are what we have come to expect: screenshot
gallery; trailers; and the DVD credits. Audio remains stereo
English or Japanese with subtitles. The Japanese version is
great, though fans might wonder why some of the English dub
actresses voices are so high. Well, it's cultural. To the
Japanese ear the higher voice is more attractive.

So we're near the end and to be honest these episodes are
a bit of a backward step with less story and more blood and
gore. However, if blood and gore are your thing then you most
probably think that the show has gone back to doing what it
                    does best.
