Richard Briers, Felicity Kendal, Paul Eddington and Penelope Keith star in four more original BBC television episodes of the much-loved classic sitcom that feature Surbiton's most famous residents, mismatched next-door neighbours whose friendship is constantly being tested to the limits... A Tug of the Forelock (originally broadcast 24 September 1976). In dire need of transport, Tom decides to build his own car - but it will cost a lot of money. To pay for it, he and Barbara go into domestic service: as a gardener and housekeeper for Margo and Jerry. I Talk to the Trees (originally broadcast 01 October 1976). After a conversation with a fellow allotment-holder, the Goods decide to experiment with talking and playing music to their plants - but this soon causes problems with Margo. The Wind-Break War (originally broadcast 08 October 1976) When Margo puts up a wind-break that puts their new fruit patch in the shade, the Goods are furious. After a series of misunderstandings, can their friendship survive? Whose Fleas are These? (originally broadcast 15 October 1976) The Goods find they are hosting some unwelcome lodgers, and assume their animals are responsible, but find this is not the case - so where did the fleas come from? Penelope Keith provides the occasional narration for the visual gags, which obviously don't translate onto audio. While, obviously, a DVD with these episodes would be more enjoyable, this audio release is the perfect way to relax at home or in the car. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online |
