Sakura, and her group continue to travel to parallel world in search of the feathers, which represent her memories, with the help and sometimes hindrance of the time and space witch the group have travelled to the Land of Shara only to be caught in a war between two gods...

Volume Ten of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Time Will Tell concludes the Shara story first started in book eight.

Following the conclusion of Shara, the group finds themselves in the high-tech world having to join in a dangerous Dragonfly race, the winner of which will win the prized feather. Princess Tomoyo has other ideas and is in league with some bloke; no I have no idea who having started this series at book eight, to stop Sakura from gaining the prize. Basically think the pod race from Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

This changes of location is potentially one of the books strongest assets, as the book need never stay with one type of story as the group move from world to world. This book is defiantly going up in my estimation.

When I first started the books, albeit quite far into the story, I was concerned that it would just turn out to be repetitive - just a world a book with the same structure. However, the longer Shara story has shown that the book can demonstrate a great deal of depth. The longer story allowed Clamp to show the characters growing both in themselves and together as a team. I wont spoil the end of the story - obviously they get the feather that they sought, otherwise the series would have ended with book ten - but the denouement of the story is extremely bittersweet, showing a nice level of maturity in the narrative.

The art also continues to impress with many dynamic panels, often individual panels taking up two whole pages. As for the narrative the story has been able to sustain itself with its nice balance of humour, mystery and action.
