REO Speedwagon have sold over 40 million records worldwide and Live In The Heartland takes you on a journey from their 1980 UK top 10 hit 'Keep On Loving You' to 1985’s 'Can’t Fight This Feeling' and then on to tracks from their 2007 album release 'Find Your Own Way Home'...

Live In The Heartland captures the band's current line-up of Kevin Cronin (lead vocals, guitar), Bruce Hall (bass), Neal Doughty (keyboards), Dave Amato (lead guitar) and Bryan Hitt (drums).

Recorded in 2007, this DVD features a 16-song set, recorded in high-definition and mixed in 5.1 surround sound for the American PBS concert series Soundstage. Spanning the groups 35 year career, this DVD also features an interesting collection of extras.

The recording lasts for over an hour and a half and contains the following tracks: 'Find Your Own Way Home'; 'Take It On The Run'; 'Keep Pushin’'; 'I Need To Fall'; 'Tough Guys'; 'Can’t Fight This Feeling'; 'Dangerous Combination'; 'Back On The Road Again'; 'Smilin’ In The End'; 'Time For Me To Fly'; 'Don’t Let Him Go'; 'Keep On Loving You'; ' Roll With The Changes'; 'Ridin’ The Storm Out'; 'Golden Country'; and '157 Riverside Avenue'.

Extras include Bonus Songs (15 min, 51 sec acoustic recording and interview taken from XM Artist Confidential. The two songs are 'Ridin’ the Storm Out' and 'I Need to Fall'. What's interesting is how much like Van Morrison's Moondance the riffs are for Ridin' the Storm Out' - something not that noticeable on the original version); and Interview (10 min, 37 sec interview with Kevin Cronin & Neal Doughty).

Cronin may be getting on a little now (he'll celebrate his 57th birthday on the day this DVD is released in the UK - 06 October 2008) but his voice shows no sign of fatigue. Nor, for that matter does the band's output of fresh material - 2007's Find Your Own Way Home album has some quality material on it, in particular the title track.

Live in the Heartland provides one of the best collections of the band's music to date.
