A scientist in a research laboratory is working on a cure for cancer. When a friend visits, he mistakes the prospective cure for crack. Later, he picks up a prostitute who sees and uses the substance. It changes her into a zombie, and she attacks and bites anyone within reach, thereby turning those also. A group of strippers and some local prostitutes are sitting separately in a diner when it is attacked by zombies. They all flee and hole-up back at the strip club, along with two of the pole-dancer's boyfriends, a doorman and a pimp. They are under siege, but someone will have to go outside and travel to the research centre to seek out an antidote vaccine... The plotline of this movie (yes, it has one... just about) is essentially the same as the recently reviewed Days of Darkness (and nearly every other zombie flick), only this one is billed as a comedy. However, there's no outright humour, just silliness. Most of the victims of the growing zombie horde confront them, rather than being sensible and running away. The main characters are about what we've come to expect: the laid back quietly-spoken hero, the loud-mouthed person who nobody likes, the helpless damsel and the arse-kicking female. The marketing blurb will try and have you believe that zombies and strippers are the dream pairing - succeeding where Alien Vs. Predator and Freddy Vs. Jason failed (Eh?!). The so-called sexy strippers are not so much titillating as cringeworthy. I found myself shaking my head as I watched, not quite believing what I was seeing. The only saving grace this film has is the idea that the solution comes in the shape of someone with the vaccine in their blood. The trouble is allowing zombies to chew on your extremities is never going to be as preferable as covering an improvised weapon with blood and attacking the zombies. The effects for this also look very cheap, which is probably to be expected for a first-time director. Zombies, Zombies, Zombies? All I can say is Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear. 2 Ty Power Buy this item online
