Marc Almond returns to the live stage with an all new ‘Sin Songs, Torch and Romance’ set-list performing it in one of the most intimate and atmospheric venues of his career, “Wilton’s”, a genuine Victorian era music hall in London’s East End...

Marc Almond's first full-length UK show, after his October 2004 motorcycle accident, was at Wilton's Music Hall, London, in May 2008. This DVD/CD pack captures this gig for fans who weren't able to attend.

This collection, however won't be to everyone's taste. If you're buying this hoping for a collection of Soft Cell numbers then you're going to be mighty disappointed. However, if you're an Almond fan whose been following his career, then you'd be crazy not to pick this up.

Within a selection of story-telling songs that reflect the dramatic tradition of the venue, Almond presents a mix of cover versions and fan favourites, in addition to tracks written exclusively for this remarkable comeback gig.

Covers include versions of 'Safe Inside', 'Weakness for Roses' and 'Calvary' (originally performed by Baby D), 'Yesterday When I Was Young' from acclaimed Gallic singer Charles Aznabour, plus 'The Desperate Ones' (Jacques Brel) and 'The Great Valerio' (Richard and Linda Tompson). Familiar tracks include 'Gyp the Blood', 'Mother Fist' and 'Saint Judy'. Exclusive tracks performed for the concert include 'Bluegate Fields' and 'Lavender' as well as classic tracks 'Torment, Vision' and 'Black Heart'.

Extras on the DVD include an Interview (21 min, 33 sec); and Bonus Tracks (9 min, 58 sec that includes three additional tracks).

Almond fans who have kept up to date with his career will love this - those who haven't may be left wondering what on earth is going on and why there seems to be a collection of middle aged hippies having a midlife crisis, parading around as though they were in their late teens.
