You love the songs and now it's time to take a chance on the first ever exercise regime set to Bjorn Again performing the celebrated music of Abba. This high energy dance aerobics DVD is designed to soon have you in super trouper mode and shedding the pounds to Bjorn Again's most infectious performances including... 'Dancing Queen', 'Take A Chance On Me', 'Mamma Mia', 'Money Money Money', 'Super Trouper', 'Waterloo' and of course 'Gimme Gimme Gimme'. With adrenalin fuelled routines led by professional dance and aerobics instructor Mila Lazar from Germany, Gimme Gimme Gimme A Real Great Workout! is the perfect way for every dancing queen to sweat those calories away and sing your hearts out... Gimme Gimme Gimme A Really Great Workout! is so simple an idea that I'm surprised it's not been done before. With the Mamma Mia! movie bringing Abba back in vogue once again (as if they've ever been out of fashion) what better way for fans to keep fit than by an aerobics session set to a selection of the band's most famous hits. While it could be argued that most people won't bother cutting out the junk food, or changing their eating habits in any substantial way - believing that doing a little aerobics exercise each day will fight that flab - this DVD is more fun than the majority of similar DVDs on the market. This is mainly down to the fact that you already know all of the songs. While just exercising along to this DVD won't actually make a huge deal of difference to the average unfit individual, it'll get them into the right frame of mind and get them off their backsides and doing something a little more energetic than normal. So at least you can think you're doing some good while you exercise to your favourite Abba tracks. The DVD runs for an hour and you have the option of playing it as an exercise video with instructions from Mila Lazar, or a music only track - where you can still follow Lazar's onscreen exercise routine. As exercise DVDs go, this is one of those that has a much wider appeal amongst all age ranges and is unlikely to age that quickly. It's fun and will make you want to exercise - and that's half of the battle. 8 Nick Smithson |
