Who would have thought that the Hackney born girl, Leona Lewis would have shot to fame so quickly? Since releasing her debut album Spirit in November of last year, Lewis has not stopped. Spirit has been reissued with additional tracks and DVD content, World records have been broken, chart history has been made, and she has travelled the world, topped charts internationally, been nominated and won awards, appeared on magazine covers and just generally been busy conquering the world.

Leona first performed ‘Run’ late last year on the infamous Jo Wiley’s Radio 1 Live Lounge. This performance led to much talk and amazing reactions from fans which prompted the recording of a studio version of the track.

After an overwhelming performance on this year’s X Factor, the single was released. It was never planned this way but after Leona and her record label was inundated with requests from fans to release it how could they not?

The single is truly superb, rich in emotion and very powerful. Lewis has delivered yet another heart stopping single that make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. No matter how many times I hear ‘Run’ I just don’t seem to get fed  up of it and it always brings me out in goose bumps.

This girl never ceases to amaze and I hope she can carry on amazing us far into the future.
