Light + Sound range takes model making a stage further. No
longer do you have to suspend your plane from the ceiling
with wires, or leave your model car balanced on the window
sill. Now, you can place your work-of-art on it's own base
with a realistic background setting...
For
the Tornado IDS Diorama, you get everything you need
to ensure that your finished plane looks the business: glue,
four tins of paint and a paintbrush - although serious model
makers will probably want to add a few more colours to the
included palette. There is a comprehensive guide included
for the additional colours.
Model
features include: flush metal points and authentic surface
features; detailed cockpit with finely engraved and embossed
instrument panels; detailed ejector seat with many features;
detailed landing gear and bay; movable swing-wing; moveable
stabilisers; and detailed power unit exhaust cone. It also
includes separate air brakes, optionally open; separate transparent
parts for navigation lights; two underwing tanks; two detailed
AIM-9L Sidewinder guided missiles; one ECM pod and one BOZ
101 pod; detailed super decals sheet with all the maintenance
and identification markings for the various squadrons.
Once
completed, the Tornado looks the business mounted on the provided
base, with its panoramic runway setting. It also sounds the
business too, thanks to the recording of an authentic Tornado
jet, which can be played at the touch of a button. The runway
lights help to add that extra special touch. The kit requires
3 x AA batteries (not included).
This
kit is great fun for the experienced model maker. Revell's
