I
might be showing my age a bit, but I have to admit that I
haven't picked up a yo-yo since the '80s. And boy, how they've
changed.
The
F.A.S.T 201 ball-bearing yo-yo is so simple to use and it's
easy to perform impressive looking tricks with. Within seconds
I was amazing the other staff here (and my self) by performing
a very cool trick - although I have no idea how it works.
I let go of the yo-yo and as it reached the end of the string
it simply stayed there, spinning. Then with a quick jerk on
the string it rose back up to my hand. While that might not
be that impressive to anyone younger than 16, it was mightily
impressive to me.
And
that is part of the joy of this toy. How many times have you
bought an item that states "just like the professionals
use" and then realised that as you are not a professional
you are going to have to put in many hours of practice to
do anything impressive with it? This usually means that you
tire of it quickly - usually before you've mastered anything
with it.
Well,
with this yo-yo you can perform simple tricks easily, which
will encourage you to be more adventurous with it. But even
better, there is a booklet included which tells you how to
perform some very impressive looking tricks - and believe
me they are not that difficult to perform.
If
you have used a cheap kids yo-yo in the past then this is
a bit like trading up from a Smart car to a Ferrari. Get your
hands on one of these - they are fantastic.
