Playmobil's
range of space related products starts from the pocket money
reach of cute little Playmobil Robot to the complex and enormous
Space Station.
This
station is huge and comes complete with an adjustable platform
lift, blinking diodes (OOPS! You'll need some of those "batteries
not included" for these to work.), a handful of action
figures and a dock to allow the other Playmobil vehicles to
dock and unload.
Now
not only is this a wonderfully designed work of art, but it
also comes in kit form allowing your children to actually
construct the station from scratch. And don't underestimate
what a mammoth task this is. There are loads of little bits
and pieces to be slotted together, but it is well worth it.
If,
like me, you naively thought that Playmobil toys were for
kids under the age of six then this will convert you. We let
a 10-year old boy loose on this and it kept him busy for two
full days. This really impressed us here because when we told
him about it and asked him if he wanted to construct it he
turned his nose up and told us he was too old for Playmobil.
This
is with out a doubt one of the best toys we have tested here
in the last couple of years and while the asking price might
seem a little on the steep side, believe me it is well worth
it.
