Bernice becomes trapped inside an ancient alien artefact
in the form of a mirror. With her once familiar friends distorted
and turned against her, she is haunted by fears and reflections...
The
synopsis makes this story sound like a parallel universe tale,
doesn't it? You know, like the Star Trek episode, Mirror,
Mirror. However, Stewart Sheargold's bizarre narrative
is not as simple as that. Not so simple at all. Prepare to
be somewhat confused during much of this tale.
All
of Benny's current band of buddies are present and correct,
including Jason Kane (Stephen Fewell), Adrian Wall (Harry
Myers) and Irving Braxiatel (Miles Richardson, sounding more
like Sherlock Holmes than ever). Their sinister "reflections"
reveal some surprising character traits, particularly in the
case of Brax.
I
doubt that the previously comforting familiarity of these
recurring characters will ever be the same again.
