Why is Professor Dumbledore coming to visit Harry at the
Dursleys' house in Privet Drive? And what will happen when
he meets Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia? What is it that cannot
wait until Harry returns to Hogwarts in a few weeks' time
for the start of his sixth year...?
Stephen
Fry is the perfect choice to read the latest Harry Potter
book as it makes a move over into the realm of audiobooks.
It's no surprise to learn that he has won at least one award
for each of the previous books in the series he has narrated.
Harry
Potter and the Half-Blood Prince CD collection consists
of nearly 21 hours worth of material spread across 17 CDs
for this, the complete and unabridged version.
More
often than not, especially when the recordings are this long,
the listener's mind can sometimes wander. This usually happens
when the narrator's voice just seems to drone on and on without
any emotion attached to the recording. Thankfully this is
not a problem with Fry behind the mic.
For
those who prefer talking books over the printed word then
this is about as good as the format gets.
