For
seven years, Captain Janeway and the crew of the aptly named
Starship Voyager lived with one goal - to get home
- and strove to live up to the ideals of Starfleet as they
travelled alone in a tumultuous region of space. Relive their
epic journey through summaries, photos, and detailed episode
data in the official companion to the show...
Star
Trek: Voyager: Companion is an impressive piece of work.
Spread across 482 pages there is more than enough information
to keep even the most anal of fans happy.
Each
of the major characters is fleshed out a little in the opening
pages (these are then expanded upon later - dotted throughout
the book) and then each season gets a brief introduction before
rolling on to start a long list of episode synopsis' and background
information on each of the episodes.
There
are fun bits of text that break up the sometimes too dry main
text. These include sections like In the Words of the Doctor
(a wry look at the many bonesisms uttered by the doctor: "I'm
a doctor, not a blank"); and Q Quotes (pretty
self explanatory). There
are also plenty of photos included (although no colour ones,
sadly), and the cover is a pretty nice touch too.
Obviously
this book will not appeal in the slightest to non Voyager
fans (Der!) But if you are a true fan then you will have already
