the penultimate book in the series
and there are a lot of things hanging in the balance. General
Wedge Antilles becomes stranded in Yuuzhan Vong space and
must rely on his wits to survive long enough to continue one
of the deadliest and most crucial missions of the Alliance.
Will he make it? And if so will he manage to survive long
enough to celebrate?
Over
the last few months there has been speculation, on numerous
chatrooms, as to whether Anakin would return in this volume
as a ghostly form. In one of Greg Keyes previous New Jedi
Order novels, the author hinted that Anakin would return
(Anakin/Tahiri
prophecy). The truth of those rumours can now be discovered
- I don't want to spoil anything, so I'm saying nothing.
Terese
Nielsen's cover is attractive, despite the fact that the lightsabre
looks more like a torch.
For
those who have been following the series as it has progressed,
there are still a few surprises in store. Roll
on November when the final volume, The Unifying Force,
is released.
