Phoebe Halliwell may well be ready to turn over a new leaf
as a single girl, but her newly redemonised husband, Cole,
isn't ready to let her go. Aware of a supernatural plot against
the Charmed Ones, Cole keeps watch over Phoebe, and intercedes
at the moment of the battle, only to accidentally create a
rip in time. Cole disappears, dragging the sisters with him,
only to emerge in Hollywood during World War II...
Luck
be a Lady
sets up an interesting series of events that sees each of
the sisters taking on very different roles in a bid to blend
in with their new surroundings. Paige poses as a young starlet
- well what better career to go for when trapped in Hollywood?
Piper is drawn to search out a younger, and still human Leo.
Meanwhile a demon henchman is working his black magic on Paige,
which could spell disaster for the Charmed Ones.
Possibly
the first problem about being stuck in a different era is
that currency issues become a problem. How can these accidental
travellers afford to get by in 1940s America? Cole has the
solution - kinda bad, kinda illegal, but they are in dire
need of money.
Also,
ordering simple things like Mochaccino are right off the menu,
as the girls soon find out. Ordering a coffee in the 1940s
is not as complex as it is today. And they certainly don't
serve decaf.
A
worthwhile addition to the Charmed series, and it has
a rather touching conclusion. Fans won't be disappointed.
