At long last an Angel episode guide for fans of
the vampire series. But this 410 page monster provides so
much more than the majority of so called "official companions"
to other show.
To
start with this work gives information on every episode from
seasons one and two including synopsis, the best quotes, continuity
and popular culture references. They also manage to cram in
any music tracks played during the episodes as well as sizeable
actor quotes on stories that arose during the filming. Now
that's what I call detail.
Add
to this a nice collection of colour photography (32 pages)
on top of the large collection of black and white pictures
scattered around the book and you have in your hands a real
work of art.
Flicking
through this book I noticed so many things I had failed to
pick up when I first watched the series as most of the popular
culture references are based around American culture. And
there was at least a few music tracks which I was really eager
to track down when I originally saw the episodes.
The
only slight complaint is that the proof readers should have
been taken out and shot for failing to spot that the dedications
and acknowledgements seemed to have been printed twice at
the start of the book.
This
is probably the best series tie-in book that has ever been
produced.
