Agents Jay and Kay are back, as a new alien menace threatens
to destroy Earth. When an evil, voracious alien lands in Central
Park with plans to obliterate the human race, it will take
the top MIB agents to avert catastrophe...
It
is hard to review Inside Men in Black II without actually
seeing the movie - for all I know there is a huge special
effects sequence or monster which is missing from this book.
But on first read through this represents excellent value
for money. There are just under 180 pages of glossy pages.
The first 137 are in full colour with the remaining pages
dedicated to a reproduction of the script.
The
inclusion of the script I felt unnecessary. There were no
colour images from the movie to break up the text and the
black and white illustrations from the shooting script don't
help to break up the dull look of the pages.
However,
the majority of the book is well illustrated with interviews
with cast and crew and more than a few images of Lara Flynn
Boyle wearing nothing but transparent underwear.
If
the movie is half as good as this book looks then MIB2
will be a must see film. Brad Munson has produced a well thought
out, beautifully illustrated souvenir to a much anticipated
movie. Good value for money, shame about the inclusion of
the script.
