Captain Jean-Luc Picard and his crew are forced into a bitter
crisis aboard the USS Enterprise as Section 31 rears its ugly
head. One young officer is put into the awkward decision of
choosing between the greater good of the Federation or the
rules he has lived his professional life trying to uphold...
Rogue
represents
a pretty hefty addition to the Section 31 series of
books being 360 pages in length. Any shorter and the suspense
that it slowly built would have been too rushed and any longer
at the plot would have started to drag a little.
Set
six months before the Federations main battle with the Borg
it is probably not too hard for readers to work out the fate
of the main character in this novel - although the build up
to the conclusion is worth sticking around for.
For
those fans that have critisised this series as Pocket Books
trying to cash in on the popularity of Section 31 then I suggest
you pick up a copy of Rogue, you may be pleasantly
surprised.
