The saga of Transformers continues. Until now, the Autobots
thought the scale of their problems amounted to Megatron and
his Deceptions and the odd renegade god. They're about to
realise they're playing in a much bigger arena then they ever
                    thought possible.
Beyond the fringes of known space an ancient power is spreading
its malign influence, turning whole galaxies into a dark mosaic
                    of its own design...
                  Dark
Designs is another collection of reprints from Marvel's
stable of Transformers stories. Yet again Titan have
gone a grand job, although there seems to be no standard format
as the last Transformers graphic novel was printed in an entirely
different format - different size and paper stock.
                  The
artwork is nothing spectacular, in fact in places it is a
little too simple, but it gets the job done.
                  I
still think that anyone over the age of 14 will find this
series a little on the dull side, but while transforming trucks
and bulls is so 80s I'm sure there is a huge cult following
                    for this series.
                  At
its core, Dark Designs has some impressive storylines
                    - just a shame Furman isn't writing for a series with a little
                    more of mature theme.
