A spaceship launched from the planet Cybertron crash-lands
on Earth, four million years in the past. In 1984, its inhabitants
are awakened - and Earth is plunged into the middle of the
greatest conflict it has ever known, with teenager Buster
Witwicky and his mechanic father caught in the middle, as
Autobots and Decepticons alike battle for fuel and technology...
Beginnings
takes us back to where it all began... the very first shots
fired in the civil war between the heroic Autobots led by
the noble Optimus Prime, and the evil Decepticons, ruled by
the crazed Megatron.
The
artwork hasn't improved over previous volumes, but the story
telling has. And it has come on in leaps and bounds. It might
be the fact that the Transformers are set in more familiar
surroundings, but I found this collection easier to read than
previous editions.
This
is by far one of the best Transformer collections to
have been released so far. If you fancy a little trip down
memory lane then this does the trick. This collection has
everything - dinosaurs, humans and Transformers what more
could you wish for?
This
graphic novel is certainly 'more than meets the eye'.
