Set in the not too distant future, rogue journalist Spider
Jerusalem and his lovely Filthy assistants are on the trail
of evidence against the corrupt and possibly psychotic president.
During this search Spider also has to cope with the brain
eating disease that is degenerating his mind...
                  Whilst
Cure may not sound like the most exciting thing anyone
could write about, Warren Ellis certainly carries it off with
style. Some of this book is very brutal and the last interview
of Fred Christ will most certainly raise a few eyebrows. But
this is witty and sharp comic book writing at its finest.
Ellis has woven a world where people can be amused, sickened
and downright worried all at the same time. This is Blade
Runner crossed with Drop the Dead Donkey. But if
you're not a fan of either then don't let that put you off.

I am a huge fan of this series, Spider himself is constantly
amusing and some of the small details in the book will always
                    raise a few smiles.

If you are new to Transmetropolitan then this would
be a very bad place to start. Go out and buy the other eight
instalments as well as this one. Sure, that will cost around
100 pounds but I cannot think of a better way to spend that
money. You don't need to get your partner that nice birthday
                    present. You need this!
                  Go
out and buy a copy. On second thoughts, buy ten copies. It
                    is worth it.
