Beautiful adventuress Abbey Chase and the rest of the Danger
Girl team know that being international, top-secret spies
also means doing a fair share of Odd Jobs in the battle for
the greater good. As luck would have it, even vacations turn
into non-stop adventures and every member of the agency has
to be ready to jump into action no matter what they're doing...
                    or wearing!...
                  Odd
                    Jobs is
a rather disappointing offering. It's a one joke gag, spread
across several stories. Take a Bond scenario and give it a
                    girlie twist. And
what is the point of Johnny's character? It's always the same
                    - revolving around Johnny's rather pathetic attempts to impress
any woman who will listen to him. He's handsome and well dressed
and wouldn't have a problem finding the girl of his dreams,
but as soon as he opens his mouth, out comes a load of rubbish.
                  To
me, Danger Girl isn't Danger Girl unless it's
drawn by Arthur Adams. And sadly, only one tale in this collection
is illustrated by the great man himself. Adam's offers a voluptuous,
sexy touch to his work. However, Phil Noto does give us a
beautiful Abbey - facially, but nothing more.
                  If
shallow, clichéd and, to some extend, sexist stories
do it for you then you'll probably lap this up. However, for
those who want something a little more challenging this is
                    not for you.
