After a surprise attack by the fearsome and seemingly unstoppable cylons, the human race faces extinction. Fleeing from the tyranny imposed by the deadly cylons, the last Battlestar,
Galactica, leads a ragtag fugitive fleet on a lonely quest across the galaxy in a desperate search for the planet Earth...

Saga of a Star World reprints, for the very first time, some of the old Battlestar Galactica comics stories that were inspired by the '80s TV series. Because of that, this is very much a product of its time and will only really appeal to older comic readers out there.

While the plots may not be as cutting edge as some of today's comics, it's the illustrations that really let this collection down. The repro job isn't particularly impressive either. The majority of the pages look as though someone has picked up an old copy of the comic and photocopied it. This is most noticable in The Lost Gods of Kobol - Part Two: Death in the Family story.

A little too predictably dull and poorly produced - only very determined readers will manage to make it to the end without tutting in disgust.
