Our
human hero Frank (Bill Murray) ingests an evil virus called
Thrax (Laurence Fishburne). Now the virus is loose in the
city of Frank and it is up to a maverick white blood cell
cop called Osmosis Jones (Chris Rock) to find Thrax and flush
him out of the city of Frank before Frank dies of the virus...
Osmosis
Jones is an interesting part cell-based animation and
part live action movie. Bill Murray plays... well, Bill Murray
actually, in this fun-packed movie that will have kids everywhere
in stitches.
If
you like jokes that revolve around bodily functions, and lets
be honest how many kids don't? Then you will love this. It's
funny, it's beautifully animated and it's got a plot that
is not too bad.
There
are no extras to really speak of, but your little horrors
can access the bodily functions scenes again and again thanks
to a special option on the main menu. Enjoy those farts and
burps.
The
back of the DVD seems uncertain how to spell Fishburne. Is
it with an "o" or without one? To ensure it got
it right it gave us both spellings! Hmmm a bit shoddy if you
ask me.
Osmosis
Jones is a fun, action packed movie. Sure, it will never
be nominated for any acting awards but then it never pretends
to be anything other than what it is - an
enjoyable romp.
