Four episodes of The Simpsons grace this DVD: Beyond
Blunderdome, Itchy & Scratchy: The Movie, 22
Short Films About Springfield and A Star is Burns.
As an avid Simpsons fan I have always been against
these collections.
Sure
we get four great episodes, but as Fox seem to be committed
to releasing the entire series in box sets I am at a loss
to see why anyone would want to also buy these collections.
They only really cater for those fans who are only interested
in watching the odd episode or those who can't wait for the
box sets to be rolled out.
The
Simpsons Film Festival is a top notch collection of some
of the best episodes the series has to offer, but I for one
will not be parting with my cash to add this to my collection.
Instead I will be saving my money to purchase the season box
sets which offer much better value for money.
This
is a great collection, but think hard before parting with
your money - Do you really need this? Can you wait for the
next box set to ensure that you get your Simpsons fix?
