David and Jenny are friends but David would like more from
their relationship. To make matters worse, Jenny has started
to date a loon, Alan, who exhibits some pretty wild and dangerous
behaviour. The story, although simple, is told in flashbacks
as David recovers his memory after being hit by a car. So
far, so good.
Of
course, as this is a thriller there has to be a twist. Unfortunately,
it's so well sign posted that the 'shock' discovery of who
the real nutter is gets lost under a wave of 'so what. is
that it?' Add the fact that Jenny seems to be more robust
than Captain Scarlet and you have a movie that never really
convinces.
The
directing is solid but after that it all starts to break down.
A truly mediocre set of central performances, dialogue that
creaks and coughs, and a score that is uninspired and repetitive.
But it does only last 86 minutes which is a blessing.
