Professor's Vrooshka and Crump decide to visit an archaeological
site to study the artefacts there. Low and behold, it's right
next to a caravan site where all manners of people are staying.
With a randy Major owning the site, a snobbish mother, and
the two professors, constant innuendoes you just know what's
going to happen... the caravan site sinks and a striptease
turns up for the cabaret night...
Carry
On Camping was a huge success but this attempt to reuse
its campsite setting in the hope of scoring another hit fails
miserably. The absence of Sid James [replaced by a gurning
Windsor Davies] doesn't help but in truth there's very little
for the cast to do apart from stumble from one innuendo to
the next. And who was it who thought that archaeology was
a good Carry On idea? And what's the title all about?
Behind what?
The
disc comes complete with a photo gallery, commentary (by Patsy
Rowlands, Larry Dann, Jack Douglas and Dave Freeman) and an
episode of the Carry On TV series but these can't save
the day. Best left behind.
