                    He's a snot-nosed ginger-haired kid with no mates and a disrespectful
attitude towards authority. Angry Kid spends his spare time
tearing around on his Raleigh Chopper (wearing his very stylish
Parka jacket) getting into all sorts of bother, verbally abusing
his father and sister and generally causing havoc wherever
                    he goes...
                  I
remember downloading the very first Angry Kid shorts
from Aardman Animation's website a few years ago and while
they were great to watch on my computer (the episodes run
for just over a minute each) I must admit to being a little
sceptical how well the transition to DVD would be. Would anyone
really want to sit through all the episodes more than once?
And surely there wasn't enough material to make anyone want
to rush out and buy a copy.
                  Thankfully
I was wrong. This is a fantastic DVD. The main feature is
just under 30 minutes long (if you play all 25 episodes).
Tthere are also a number of short extras. These include a
behind the scenes look at how Angry Kid was made; three
foreign language episodes (which are not really foreign language
episodes, just three episodes you've already seen with fake
voice-overs made to appear as though they have been specially
dubbed for an overseas audience); a director's cut of one
of the episodes (although again not really a director's cut,
more a spoof director's version of an episode); season two
trailer (season two looks promising); and Angry Kid's school
                    and police records.
                  Doctor
Who fans will also be impressed that this disc reveals
how to replicate an authentic Dalek voice. I won't spoil how...
you'll have to buy the DVD to find out.
                  If
you know anyone with a twelve year old (that's how old Angry
Kid is supposed to be) then they'll soon confirm how true
to life Angry Kid's little escapades really are.
                  Season
One of Angry Kid is painfully funny. So go buy... Bumcake!
