For those of you who just can't get enough of The Simpsons
or are too lazy to wait for the season box sets, then you'll
be pleased to hear that 20th Century Fox are releasing a collection
of single DVDs that bring together some of the best episodes
of everyone's favourite animated yellow family...
Simpsons
Greatest Hits features milestone episodes including the
very first 20 minute cartoon Roasting On An Open Fire,
the 100th episode Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baddass Song,
the 200th episode Trash of the Titans, the highest
rated episode to date Bart Gets An F and the first
episode that Maggie talks in Lisa's First Word.
While
this collection may sound like a good idea, and the episodes
are worth seeing again, that's the main problem. Most of these
episodes have been played to death on terrestrial television
and at least three are already available in the season box
sets that have been released so far.
Really
only worth purchasing for those that are not planning to buy
the box sets and don't mind owning episodes which have been
shown to death on TV.
