After the worst day of his life Sam meets up with Hope and
is immediately attracted to her. She agrees to give him her
phone number. Unfortunately for Sam he loses her number and
ends up working as a delivery boy in the hope that he may
be called upon to deliver a parcel to Hope...
100
Women tries
to mimic the success of the first movie, 100 Girls.
Different setting, different actors, but same basic idea.
However, despite this, it ends up feeling like a completely
different movie. Instead of trying to find the girl of his
dreams, as in 100 Girls, Sam is trying to work out
which of the girls in the apartment block is trying to stop
him from reacquainting his relationship with Hope.
More
mature than the first movie, it is perfect for those who believe
that Mr or Mrs Right really is out there waiting for them.
As romantic comedies go this offers its fair share of cod
philosophy, but its humour and wonderfully contrived plot
help mask the majority of this.
There
are some great cameo roles including Sam's friend - who is
a self-confessed pornoholic, and Clint Howard (who you may
remember as the cute kid from the Gentle Ben television
series) turns up as the sinister apartment block owner.
There
is something for everyone here. And, while not as thought
provoking as 100 Girls, 100 Women is still a
fine romantic comedy.
