A cartoon vixen named Holli Would becomes involved with her
creator, Jack Deebs. When she finally becomes human all hell
breaks loose in this movie that mixes live action and animation...
Cool
World may look as thought it is aimed at the same market
as Roger Rabbit was... but it most certainly is not.
The content is certainly more adult oriented. Cool World
is the creation of imprisoned cartoonist Jack Deebs and
features
a comic strip vamp who endeavours to become human. How can
she accomplish this? By seducing her cartoonist creator and
have sex with him in order to cross over into the real world.
And,
apart from the fact that Brad Pitt appears as a human (or
"noid" as they are known in Cool Word) private detective,
not much more happens. The cartoon characters (or "doodles")
wander around beating each other up - in a very bad trip stylee!
The animation is poor, the narrative doesn't flow very well
and the whole thing plays like the most pretentious rubbish
your likely to see outside of a student arthouse film festival.
The
beginning is slow, confusing and dull; the middle is slow
and dull; but the conclusion is enjoyable - just not enough
to save this movie from being a disaster.
Not
a very cool movie and you will probably be a noid if you buy
this!
