A total of 14 classic Looney Tunes are included in
this latest cartoon collection. Watch as Tweety Bird gets
out of double putty tat trouble, hold on tight as the animated
whirlwind known as the Tazmanian Devil erupts onto the scene,
and witness a breakthrough performance by Daffy Duck as he
encounters earnest would be hunter Porky Pig...
This
collection has more of a mix of cartoons than the first volume
(which was mainly packed full of Bugs Bunny cartoons.
Old favourites include Sylvester and Tweety, Foghorn Leghorn,
Speedy Gonzales, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig and the Tazmanian Devil.
There
are also a number of older characters which most people won't
have heard of including The Gambling Bugg in Early to Bet
and The Goofy Gophers in Lumber Jerks.
As
a general Looney Tunes collection, this works better
than volume one, but the extras are not as impressive.
The
DVD box lists all the extras on this collection and then states:
"Many more vewwy impwessive features!" But there
aren't. What it lists on the case is all that you get!
Those
extras include an Interactive Back In Action DVD ROM
game based on the new animated/live action film; Three short
Behind the Tunes featurette that focus on the origins
of Speedy Gonzales, Tweety and Foghorn Leghorn;
Commentaries
and/or isolated music tracks on selected cartoons; Original
Bosko: The Talk-Ink Kid short; and Virgil Ross pencil
tests.
While
the extras are slightly less interesting than those on volume
one, the mix of cartoons is more entertaining. This is an
excellent collection and will appeal to everyone. Get it!
