Six erotic tales of subterfuge, betrayal and mischief include
the exploits of Cinzia, who indulges in a ménage a trois with
her husband and a young waiter. A circle of television personalities
have affairs amongst themselves. Highly sexed hotel waitress
Katarina enjoys the sexual advances of a couple of guests.
Raffaella, an unfaithful wife, convinces her husband that
her affairs are fantasies told for his pleasure. Anna and
her photographer fiancé find themselves swinging with a couple
of fellow artists. And Frederica flaunts her body from a hotel
window...
This
is not the usual kind of "telly fantasy" that we do here at
Review Graveyard, but what the hell.!
In
true Tinto Brass style, the women depicted here are attractive,
with much attention focused on their ample backsides, though
they are not the bikini-waxed, silicon-implanted fakes of
the kind found in American erotic films. Indeed, these Italians
are noticeably hairier than their American - or British -
counterparts, in both the crotch and armpit departments. However,
they remain undeniably and naturally sexy.
There
is much humour in this collection of tales, which contains
a range of eccentric characters, in particular the dominatrix
Frau Bertha (Virginia Barrett) and her submissive husband
(Leo Mantovani) in Two Hearts and a Hut, and the artistic
swingers in Honni Soit Qui Mal Y Pense. Each story
culminates in some kind of punchline or poetic justice.
There
is additional, unintentional, mirth to be had at the expense
of the woeful dubbing into English. This is DVD, so why couldn't
the original Italian dialogue have been left intact with the
option of English subtitles. Anyone buying this product just
to see flesh won't be interested in the story or the dialogue
in any case. I don't see why the movie's original title, Do
It! was deemed unsuitable for the English-speaking market
either.
One advantage of the DVD medium is chapter selection, which
allows you to watch these six stories in any order you choose.
I leapt straight into Honni Soit Qui Mal Y Pense, because
the synopsis on the back cover promised a nudist camp setting.
Unfortunately,
the cover blurb is pretty hopeless: the synopses are either
misleading or downright inaccurate. Perhaps something got
lost in translation, because Honni only makes a brief
visit to a naturist resort, while Call Me a Pig... Cause
I Like It (love that title, by the way) is not set in
a train as described.
However,
gripes about the presentation aside, this is good, sexy fun.
DVD extras include a photo gallery, a trailer, a three-minute
promotional film and a 17-minute behind-the-scenes feature.
