procession of ludicrous, sharp and lunatic characters unleashed
on the BBC...
The
BBC has sent through the third season of The Fast Show
for us to review - which was nice. Now, reviewing
this DVD is a lot like making love to a beautiful woman.
First you have to carefully get the two spherical objects
out of their protective packaging, making sure not to scratch
them, and then you just sit back and enjoy the visual treat
on offer... I'm
sorry, I've just come.
The
comedy in this collection is very dark. In fact, it's almost
black. Black! Black! Help me mother! I am the Goblin King!
I
could go on like this, but you might ask me to get my coat,
so I think I'll stop now.
Season
three of The Fast Show sees a new collection of characters,
including the 13th Duke of Wymbourne, No Offence, Taff Lad
and the Hearty Hikers, being introduced to help keep the show
fresh. But fear not, classic characters, like Swiss Toni,
Dave Angel Eco-Warrior and the Posh Cockneys are still there,
as are old favourites including Suits You, Channel 9, Colin
Hunt and Ted and Ralph.
This
two disc collection is incredibly good value for money. Eight
30 minute episodes and one hour long Christmas special makes
this collection a must own. Okay, there many not be any extras
to speak of, but who cares. The episodes alone are well worth
£18 of anyone's money.
