Join the crew of Sealab 2021. Comrade Murphy and his heroic aquanauts need your rubles for their five year plan to train worker cadres in one thousand new factories and cabbage farms. And when you have watched this DVD, remember to return it to your village Soviet for smelting so that we may achieve our glorious goal: Eight million tons of pig iron...

The third season of Sealab 2021 never quite manages to reach the quality attained in season two. While it does have its moments, the majority of the jokes never seem to work as well as they could have. In fact, apart from the references to Star Wars, Fantastic Voyage and The Matrix, I am struggling to remember a single gag that raised more than a smile.

The on-screen dynamics of the crew also seem to be lacking - maybe due to the fact that Murphy vanishes, to be replaced by ex-football coach Tornado Shanks. This was down to the fact that Harry Goz sadly died in real life. In fact, Murphy only appears in the first six episodes.

While this collection is labelled as "season 3" if actually contains the majority of episodes of season 3 as well as episodes from season 4.

Extras include pointless audio commentaries and a collection of episodes that were dropped, are rewritten, because they didn't work. There are also some Kitty Fun-Fun promo trailers which are truly awful - imagine some drunk hobos and a sock puppet, made by a blind one armed man, introducing the show and you'll have a vague idea of what to expect.

This is a collection for completists only. Anyone else will find it a little tiresome.
