In 16th century England, the arrogant Lord Edmund Blackadder
swaggers back into town in a bid to gain favour from the stark
raving Queen Bess and to claim his rightful position in the
history books...
Series
two of Blackadder on DVD consists of six digitally remastered
episodes but contains no extra's of any merits.
Personally,
I have always questioned the merits of releasing DVD's with
no extras. What is the point? Yeah, sure the quality is twice
as good as VHS but is anyone really going to fork out £20
to purchase a DVD they already own on video?
While
the series is indeed worthy of a 9/10 rating on video the
DVD release is really not worth the money. A commentary by
Rowan atkinson and Richard Curtis is the least we could have
expected to see but no all we get are animated menus! whoopee
bleeding do!
