Legend has it that whatever evil has appeared, a hero named
Link has arisen to defeat it. That legend continues on the
surface of a great and mysterious sea as Link sets off on
his most epic and awe-inspiring adventure yet. Aided by a
magical conductor's baton called the Windwaker, he will face
unimaginable monsters, explore puzzling dungeons, and meet
a cast of unforgettable characters as he searches for his
                    kidnapped sister...
                  So
does The Windwaker live up to the hype? in short, yes.
The new-look graphics work really well. While it is bound
to receive criticism by some Zelda fans that it makes
the game look too much like a cartoon, I thought it gave the
game a fresh feel to it.
                  The
gameplay is also very different to previous Zelda games.
While there are the usual caves to negotiate, a lot of this
game takes place at sea. This is fine to start with, but wandering
around in your boat can be a little tedious after a while.
                  One
piece of advice is don't rush around. Spend time searching
your surroundings - the rewards will be worthwhile. There
are also some great little in-game games included here - like
a simple version of Battleships - that help to keep
                    you hooked.
                  Thank
goodness for the baddies, is all I can say. Windwaker
has some great monsters to help spice the gameplay up considerably.
And I think it is fair to say that without these the game
                    would be pretty flat.
                  If
you have bought all of the previous instalments, then you
will really want to get your hands on this. Zelda fans
will love it, and most other serious gamers will soon find
                    that Windwaker is extremely addictive.
                  Another
winner of a game for the Zelda series.
