The latest crime-solving game will lead you down the slippery
trails of evidence into the steamy world of Miami's beaches
and night-clubs. Join the cast of CSI: Miami and use their
high-tech crime lab to find the truth and dissect the criminal
mind...
CSI:
Miami follows a similar format to that of Ubisoft's CSI:
Crime Scene Investigation game series. Players have to
solve a number of complex cases working with the characters
from the show. Investigation includes using high-tech forensic
tools to find the evidence, as well as interrogation and puzzle
solving.
This
point and click adventure gives you the chance to play super
sleuth as you interview witnesses, and generally snoop around
poking your nose into other peoples business.
No,
it's nothing like the boring world of real forensic evidence
- collecting blood from a crime scene and taking it back to
the lab for analysis. You get to do all of the investigating
as well as running everything through the lab (like in the
show).
The
plot to the crimes are written by Max Allan Collins, so you
know that at least you will be getting a TV episode style
investigation rather than some amateur detective story.
There
are also mini-games that help to keep this feeling fresh.
One example is where you have to piece together a smashed
item by finding the right bits and fitting them in the correct
place.
The
great thing about this game is that you don't even have to
have seen the show to play it. Whichever way you look at it,
this is an engrossing point and click game which will appeal
to the amateur sleuth in all of us.
