is a new fictional route for Microsoft Train Simulator
giving you the opportunity to drive a train on a journey
through the lush, green and colourful countryside of rural
England. Take control of busy passenger services as they meander
their way through mile after mile of picturesque English landscapes
using both modern and traditional regional rolling stock.
Trains
included in this expansion pack include electric Southern
1960's Double Decker EMU; Class 121 Diesel Railcar (Bubblecar);
and two Steam locomotives - Battle of Britain Class (BR Green)
and Merchant Navy Class (Blue).
There
are 15 missions to get your teeth into (split equally between
the steam, electric and diesel locomotives, and the included
30 miles of track incorporates a section of four track.
While
this is an interesting add-on to the Microsoft Train Simulator
programme, it won't appeal to those who like their simulators
to copy real places and stations. While the fictional world
created here is fun, I'd personally have preferred to see
the inclusion of activities between stations that exist.
This
game does add much to the Train Simulator universe
and is fairly cheap. If you were starting to get a little
bored of the main game, this could revitalise your game play.
