The Prince of Persia makes his way home to Babylon, bearing
with him Kaileena, the enigmatic Empress of Time, and unspeakable
scars from the Island of Time. But instead of the peace he
longs for, he finds his kingdom ravaged by war and Kaileena
the target of a brutal plot. Cast to the streets, hunted as
a fugitive, the Prince soon discovers that the Sands have
tainted him, too. They have given rise to a deadly Dark Prince,
                    whose spirit gradually possesses him...
                  The
                    Two Thrones
is the third in the Prince of Persia series of games.
And, if you enjoyed the previous instalments (The
                    Sands of Time and Warrior
Within, you will be truly blown away by this
                    release.
                  For
the first time you can alternate between two personalities,
both of which wield different weapons and abilities as well
as having very different combat styles. This allows you to
strangle enemies from afar with the deadly chain; or surprise
them with full speed kill moves. Sadly though, you don't get
the option of when to change character - this happens at set
                    parts of the game automatically.
                  While
I know this is not going to be to everyone's taste I think
there is a certain charm to it. The graphics are incredibly
impressive and the gameplay is addictive - if a little difficult
                    in places.
                  I
have to admit to being a little frustrated with certain areas
of the gameplay. The chariot sections of the game are incredibly
difficult - one wrong move and your vehicle, and you, are
destroyed. Also the boss segment where you have to kill two
opponents is unrelenting in it's punishment to the unskilled
gamer but, like the huge boss in the arena, once you know
what you have to do it's not too much of a chore.
                  At
the end of the day though, there is no disputing the fact
that this is a pretty game that hides quite a few sins. But
for kick ass action, you'll find it hard to beat The Two
                    Thrones.
