In
the distant regions of our Galaxy a deadly force has been
unleashed upon the universe and is making its way towards
Earth. Your mission, should you accept it, is to travel across
light-years of unchartered space to defend the destiny of
mankind...
"Shurely
this is space invaders jazed up!" I hear you cry. Well
you would be very wrong in that assumption. While this is
a simple shoot-em-up its beauty is in its 3D-like graphics.
You
have to battle through seven very asthetically pleasing levels
to reach
the end of the game. A doodle, surely! Wrong again. This is
a demon of a game and is unrelenting in its punishment of
the casual gamer. No wet gamers here please. This is a game
for hardened players (sad to say I couldn't get past level
four - and boy did I try!)
Iridion-3D
is a damn hard game, but don't let that put you off! While
it is punishing it make the sweet taste of success all the
more rewarding.
If
you are a fan of alien shoot-em-ups you will think you have
died and gone to heaven and if you hate this genre then steer
well clear.
