Alan
Silvestri is arguably well known for his wonderful Back to
the Future scores and there are slight elements of this
that shine through in this soundtrack
Taking
over the reigns from Jerry Goldsmith (who composed the soundtrack
to The Mummy) can not have been easy, but Silvestri
pulls it off well. From the wonderfully dark opening track
The Legend of the Scorpion King to the closing track
this soundtrack will not disappoint.
But
be warned. Don't play track 19 (Forever may not be enough).
This a cheesy live track which should have been buried with
the Mummy.
Silvestri
is alive and well and now he has another classic soundtrack
to add to his CV.
