There's an outbreak of killer bugs on a remote island somewhere
off the US coast. And to make matters worse these nasty insects
have a habit of nesting inside people.
Before
you can say 'straight to video' They Nest appears for
a totally predictable and frankly rather dull 90 minutes of
low grade bug horror. It's not as though the film tries and
fails; that might have salvaged something from this sorry
mess. No, from start to finish the movie never attempt to
reach beyond its cliched origins. And what is Dean Stockwell
(Quantum Leap) doing in it? Did he lose a particularly
nasty bet?
Dull,
predictable and seemingly never-ending - which is a pretty
damning indictment for a film of this length - They Nest
is an utterly worthless bore. The bugs even manage to out-act
the majority of the 'who they?' cast.
